Street Racing & Kill Stories - High School Drama

... Im wondering if i should even post this here, cuz we all can remember high school, well im still in highschool, but you all can understand....

So its pretty much common knowledge between the kids at my school that my car is the fastest in the parking lot... and we live in a pretty rich area, there are 2 or 3 other porches and a few m3's just to give you the idea... but his new kid with a 05 gt, mods: magnaflow mufflers, not catback just the canister, and its covered in stickers, much like that of the local imports. Comes along and says ford this mustang that.. and i let that go, no problem with someone having pride in there car, and yea sure its fast, but nothing to brag about.

So he goes along running all the kids in the school and beats one of the m3's and one of the boxters. So hes getting hot headed. We have the same media tech class (basically video production) and he calls me out in the middle of class, and im like sure whatever bro time and place. By the end of the class we decide to record it and put it as an intro on the morning announcement. Basically thats the school news of the day and its on every morning and everyone sees it.

Se we meet up with 3 different kids videoing it, he picks to go from a roll, wich only suits me better, so the local "racing" road is 1/4 + 30 yards so we have one kid in the a chase car, one kid in the middle, and one at the end of the track. we decide we go from a 20 roll... he is an M5 im an M6...

the race goes from no honks just once you cross the intersection main line. so we hit it and rite from the go he starts falling back and by 60 i already have 3/4 on him, just a nice walk in the park :drive: , by 100 i have headlights in the mirrors and by shutdown at 120ish i have just near 2 cars it looks like from the video. :hail:

at the end of this we get it all edited and it aired this morning as the intro to the news.. today at nutrition everyone basically laughed him outa school :jest: for all his hot headed bragging... goes to show, when push comes to shove, side with the LS1...

anyways i know it might seem stupid, but high school is basicalyl about pride and bragging rights, and he needs to step in line..

haha we told the teacher "of course this was on a clsoed course!! told them we went to the parking lot of angels stadium? its only airing once and we have the only copy... like i said before stupid high schoolers.... but we got away with it

I have to agree........if your LS1 is running 12's you should have him (with the mods you say he has) by more than you did. They should run mid 13's to high 13's. Those cars are actually pretty damn slow.

I think fast cars bring out the high school kid in all of us i run with a lot of the same guys i used to in high shool and the shit talk is still the same just with different cars. Nice kill thats awsome you got to show it in front of the whole school. What part of the country are you in?

The cars kids have in high school these days. One of the local kids (city 15 mins north of me) drives that Gold "Top Secret" 520WHP STI to school everyday. Nothing like having your parents buy you a $40k car, and drive it in the winter :)

haha ye my high school isnt even the richest in the area... i have grandparents that live in the midwest(michigan) and when i go back out there my cousins cant believe the kinds of stuff the california kids have, i wouldnt be surprised if he had more and wasnt telling me honestly he isnt exactly a straight up kid and ive raced other gt's with a little more than hes got and walked them even easier so im certain he has more, but let him keep whatever pride he has left..

man at my high school in north florida we got a great mix hard core muscle (well mostly just me), redneck mud trucks, riceRiceRICE (most of the cars). my 1968 Galaxie stuck out like a sore thumb. just the way i like it

Yeahhhh but remember the stangs always seem to lag behind alittle, but are more affordable. The LS6 Z06's would whipe the floor with a cobra, but cost a decent amount more.

I would put money on a 400-450hp cobra, that puts down mid 12's, and is in the $40-$50,000 range. I don't see it touching the Z06's. No flames, just my opinion.

aweful scary, longest 45 seconds of my life actaully. all he did was scold me and say not to do it again, but commented that at least it was on a somewhat closed course and that it was a creative idea, to a point.

ive already raced the m3's at my school and buried both of them... and two of the porches are boxter S's and arent worth the time and the other is a carrera that will ony race from a roll and i put him away, that was a very nice race tho...

lol i live in miami...my school isnt so rich..the parking lot looks half junkyard half ford dealership...mostly GT's and 5.0's a 95 vette and some girl with a jaguar...wat really stands out is a girl i know with a 2004 black ZO6...woo nothing better than a chick taming a beast...she drives like she stole it and isnt scared to call anyone else out lol..but hey when u got the fastest car in school i guess you shouldnt be scared to challenge any of the guys...no one races her cuz well shes a chick (superiority complex i guess...lol scared to lose to a girl...and they kno its a definite loss for them...) ..at a school near mine there is no such thing as a honda...its all about the BMW's Benz's Corvettes 350z's G35's... the only average car in the parking lot was a 2000 GT, but it was putting down almost 700hp..that was one of the big boys on campus...too bad he let his friend drive it and he crashed...total loss :( sad sad story...the guy was alright..a scratch on his eye from a piece of glass...the car looked like it had passed through a meat grinder..thats why u dont let someone who cant drive get behind the wheel of a 700hp car...

In HS i drove my 70 chevelle ss454 to school everday. I would get there early as a matter of fact! lol I had sooo much fun in that car. Nobody even came close to me. Of course i was running 11.4s@122 all day on engine alone. Although it did get 4mpg! So in the long run i was losing. Nowadays i wouldnt give up my ws6 for anything.

Hey what high school do you go to man? I live in Diamond Bar and I go to Troy High School. LOL, bunch of nerds driving a bunch of Lexus IS300s out here. The only competition I got is a modded Evo and STi. Nice cars nonetheless!

yeah i have to agree with svt killer i drove a 70 chevelle ss ls6 454 in the 10 and 11 grade then it got totalled and i built my 69 camaro...my chevelle was running 12.20's and my camaro runs 12.70's but no one would touch either but that was only last year since im a freshmen in college i just went back to my hometown and one of the guys i knew got a lightning and thouhgt he was hot stuff and wanted to race he told me i wasnt the fastest car anymore but i showd him i still was and i dont even go to school there nice idea about the video that was awesome...i always tapped my races but enver showded them at school, just kept them for bragging rights in case no one knew who really one..even though my car doesnt have an ls1 i still love this forum. but i do have 2002 camaro interior in my 69ss...we need to see that vid

Good Kill, but be careful drag racing that car at 16. Thank god I started out in a 3.1 Litre V6 third gen Camaro or I probably would have killed myself @ 16. Although I did have my 94 LT1 Trans Am as the fastest car in high school my senior year. Same story, kid with 5.0 thought he was the shit... :burn: embarassed him in front of everyone.

Highschool sucked hard compared to College for me. I worked just as hard, but I had no freedoms. Only real advantage for me was that I had a bit more cash in HS.

As far as cars go, the years after college rock hehehe. Thats when you actually make money thats not getting sucked down the drain instantly, and you actually get to spend your days making money instead of burning it on classes. :cheers:

Shiit back when i was in highschool we used to race Crown Vics and LT1 9c1's of couse the lt1s always one!Back then the LT1 powered 9c1 was a young poor kids corvette!

In my little highschool (1200 students) there are some nice cars, alot of LT1 camaros, sti's, BMW's, built trucks, and my friends cutlass (350 rocket) I have raced all of them, none were a problem except one of the kids with an LT1 camaro. Before we raced he said he only had an exaust. he lied, but i still beat him. right in fromt of the school its like a half mile straight strech, everyone saw, bad ass
