i thought you were already here!
make sure your service engine light is off,you will have to go to the dmv to have a vin check done on your car takes 10 min.the tech will check your vin(door, hood, dash)give a quick look around the car and give you a paper to take inside to get your nv,registration.

Heheh - nah - just there almost every time TnT is on at LVMS AKA Slip-n-slide MM. So they just check the numbers and don't even care what's done to the car? Just no visible smoke, no SES light right? It's really obvious my AIR and EGR are off and the LT's... yah... they're shiney and stand out too lol

They use the OBDII test where they plug into the Computer to see if all the smog stuff is working. I keep mine registered in NV because the test is easy....they have never opened the hood as yet and the Prime Rib dinners are great at a local casino and it is only a 3hr drive from me.

What city are you moving to? Certain counties have no smog check at all.

Well you picked one of the two counties in the state they do smog checks in. Right now they are very lax on the visual part of the test, the place I go to only plugs in the scanner and doesn't check anything visually.

Darn... o well. I'm just concerned that they'll let me in lol... once I get registered in NV, I can take care of the rest. But I take it the DMV does the inspection when you're coming into the state but do the actually perform a visual other than to check the #'s?
