Default Quietest Muffler For LM w/o Power Loss?

hey guys,

i drive into the city a few times a week, and my LM is just too much. I know everyone talks about the XR-1, but i'm afraid this isn't going to be quiet enough. I'm looking for something that will take down the whole concert of my exhaust. I want it to make noise when it's supposed to (read: upper rpms), but not deafen me (and my neighbors) on startup.

Is the XR-1 the muffler for the job, or do you have any other suggestions?

Note: The cat-back is brand new, so i don't want to ditch the whole thing, just change the muffler. It's a long story ...

Do yourself a favor and get a Moroso spiral flow to put in there. Its the most tame sounding round muffler you will find. Its refined instead of just alot of noise. You will like it.

I agree with the Spiralflow comments. I have one that I actually ran dumped, straight off the y-pipe before I got my Corsa and it sounds awesome. Fairly quiet, deep, smooth, refined, yet it purrs. It can be mellow and tame, but growl when it has to.
