Default cali cam help guys.

Ok ive decided CAM TIME! But!! I want to pass emissions still.. So what good cams are you guys running for some decent/good HP for street legal.. i dont have any engine work done just mods below.. And any good reliable shops in the sacramento area that dont charge an arm and a leg?

I will 3rd the 224/224 114 lsa cam. I have it in my car and very pleased and no problem passing smog either.

If you dont mind driving just a little ways to Hayward, Newtech Performance is a great place to go.

who makes the 224 224 114 that u guys are running??? i plan on putting one in our SS... does it sound pretty radical or can u even tell???

I going with Crane Cam 216/224 .551 lift 115lsa..there is guy I am getting it from on here has it with LT's and Heads he puttin 408rwhp down..

From the front you cant tell you even have a cam. From the rear you can slightly tell its thier. The car will also have just a slight shake to it.

That is a real small cam you are looking at. I think you may want to look into the 224/224 114lsa with 581 lift instaed. I passed smog no problem with this cam.

What springs do you guys run with this cam? I will probably keep the stock heads. I already have the LS6 Springs & Cam Installed..Thanks

i bet with a good tune you could pass with 228-232, i have seen people pass with the old mms 229 cam, plus the 228 - 232, make real nice power, mind you it will most likely pass on the ragged edge, and will most likely need to be pretty hot (cats).

I am getting a cheap price for it. Plus might be adding some form of heads and forced induction. I already have a car that doesnt or barely passes smog as it is and it a pain in the ***. So this car will get scaled back a hair. 350 to 400 HP rwhp should be suffice

I just got the Futral F2 cam it's a 224/224 114LSA with .581 lift. I'm going with dual valve springs (good up to .650). Comp 918's are only good up to .600... a little to close to the edge for my liking.

Default passing smog

I plan on passing my smog in 6 months,mines considered a baby cam but a heck of alot of fun to drive and sounds damn mean.

theres a post not to long ago about somebody passed cali smog with a futral f10-114 (228/228 576/576 114) with a good tune

Were would i be able to get a futural cam? and i know i should change out the stock springs.. any recomindations?
