Default BORLA owners come in.......

Would like to know what kind of interior noise(drone) you get from running a Borla cat back on our cars? Cats or no cats make a big difference? Also, do you like the sound and performance? Thanks.

i always thought my borla was very quiet (relatively) on the inside and i never had the plate in. it was less than half as loud inside as a friend of mine's firehawk with a loudmouth and it sounded better too. i did notice the power increase SOTP but i never dynoed it. as far as the cats go, i never changed those when i had that car.

i leave my borla wide open, the rest of my exhaust is bone stock. when i'm cruising around i don't really notice a drone at all. however when i romp on it that's a different story all together.

From the inside my borla isn't that loud at least to me. Definitely louder then stock but a great sound. With or without CATS. I just removed my CATS about 3 months ago. It's a little louder but still very tollerable!

I've run Borla for quite awhile now and intend to run it as long as I own the car. IMO it gives you the best of all worlds...Million mile warranty(durable), tuneable, low drone under normal throttle and BAD *** wide open!! and well worth the price. Definatley has a sound all it's own, not to mention it looks good

I agree, I loved my Borla. LT's, ory, and open plate. I thought it was great. I just bought custom duals, I like them alot, but I felt the borla offered better power down low.

I had a Borla on my car once.... ran it w/o the plate. There was NO drone (with cats) and the sound was great. For a while I was all into the quiet, silent-type exhaust so I switched over to a Corsa. Never had any problems with the Borla, though.

I have the borla now and it has a great tone to it. It is a little too quiet for my taste, but i still have the stock manifolds and y-pipe. And it is one of the few exhausts that look decent on a camaro IMO.

I got a borla with FLP headers and no cats and no plates. With out the cats there is def a spot in 3rd gear it gets a little raspy, but other then that the inside is quiet (as quiet as it can be) and it's mean as hell on the outside. I can get the damn thing to set off car alarms.

I have had it on my LT1 with SLP headers, and on this car. I have had MACs with & without cats', and rasp was pretty bad without the cats'. I didn' t mind it so much, but, it wasn' t too clean a sound. It roared at WOT though

I had some QTPs and their cat' d y-pipe and LOVED the sound. With my QTEC closed, little drone and NO rasp. Even with my stall slipping in traffic it was just fine. With the QTEC open, it roared. It almost seemed to have LESS drone open than closes. WOT was bad@$$. I wouldn' t trade it for anything.

I was already posted, you have the best of oth worlds: tunability, good performance, and nice sound. The only thing I would change would be to change the I-pipe to a larger diameter. Otherwise, I wouldn' t trade it.
