Default How much will I gain?

Hi!

My SS is a completely stock M6. How much HP will I gain with lid, LT headers, and catbacksystem. For example Hooker. Because I live in Sweden parts to LS1 is f---ing expensive. And there is no market at all for used parts. Can I hope for 20 hp or what?

No they are not so common here... Trans Am ls1 are rare because GM stopped selling the firebird here -95 so we have to import them and it costs a lot of money.

Am I the only one who thinks he'll get more than 20hp with a lid, longtubes, and a catback???? I would hope for around 35 or so. Another thing you can do is get an LS6 intake, should be good for around 10hp or so, and a ported throttle body is a cheap mod for a few extra ponies and better throttle response.

Good! Someone else is with me on this one!

I'm reading it as I think, "Why are they only telling him 20 hp?!"

Most of the time, just a lid will net around 5-8 hp, the catback 10-15, and the LTs about 20-25. I'd say that going with a full exhaust like that (lid, LTs, and catback) should pick you up somewhere between 35-40 hp. At least that's what the guys on here experience the most.

Just as an example: I have a 2000 Z28 (means no LS6 intake and therefore less power) that I put a lid, headers, ORY, and Magnaflow catback on. On a pretty damn hot day, I put down 338 rwhp/345 rwtq through my automatic transmission. Pretty damn good for a 2000 with nothing more than full exhaust through an A4.
