Default ASP INSTALLATION have a question

Ok so I am in trhe process of installing this pulley, now i know they say to set it in, and take the old bolt, drive it in to about 240 ft-lbs and then take that bolt out, and put the new one in, torque to 37 ft-lbs and then turn an additional 140° or so.

Now my consern is-since i do not remmeber w/ the stock pulley. is there a GAP between the back of the pulley and the timing cover, like a very small one. The reason i ask is i had torqued it down to 240, and there was still this gap. However, I do see that the belt drive is lined up perfectly w/ the Alternator Pulley. Need to know ASAP thanks fellas. The motor turns fine, it seems to be ok, but i want to be 100% sure

There will be what appears to be a little gap with the asp. You can see about 1/16 of an inch of shiney metal, thats ok, you are there. Hope you changed your front seal while you were at it.....
