Default BFG KDW Tire pressure

Hey guys,

I dont really want to start a whole thread about this but the search isnt working well for me right now. What pressure should I be running my 275/35/18 KDW's at on the street. I heard that around 25 psi was good but that seems to be low. The guy at the shop filled them to ~40 psi. I wanted to get someones opinion on what they're running to get good traction/wear rate... Ive never had tires like these so I dont know what to keep them at. Thanks for your time and any help is much appreciated.

I run my KDWs at 32 psi all year around. My tires have now lasted me for 40k. If it wasn't for some burnout's I could have gotten another 5k out of them.

i was also curious about this too...except for the fact that i have 17s instead of 18s...so 32 psi. would also be a good rule of thumb for 17s? i think mine are 275/40/17

Mine are 275/40/17....If I had 18's I would run the same pressure.

thanks again for the info...i'll have to gauge mine and see exactly what they're settin at...i'll be sure to change them to 32 since it seems you've had good wear with them....

Thanks for the good advice. Ill have to adjust them since I can see that the rears are only picking up dirt on the center...

I just thought of another question, are you guys saying 30-32 psi at hot temp or cold?

Thanks again

I have KDW2 in same size. About 31 cold 32.5ish warm.

Mine seem to be picking up dirt in the middle, but I don't see how. I'm going to look into it a little more.

But is the 32 psi measurement taken when the tires are warmed (as in just got done driving for a while) or cold (as in woke up in the morning and took the tire pressure without driving anywhere)?

I have 35 psi on my 275 40 17 KDW's. On my '97 T/A, on the inside of the driver side door, there was a gm factory sticker that said "for high speed usage 35 psi when tires are cold," or something like that.
