Default Burnout with an a4

does anyone have a prefered way to burnout in the box at the track with an a4?I usually put it in 1 and do my burnout. Is it better to do it in 2 or d?
Does one way or the other have an adverse effect on the transmission?

I used to do them in OD and someone told me I should not do this as it will effect the tranny in a negative way

Thanks

Well, '00+ you can lock the car in second gear. I've always done my burnouts right out of the bottom of 2nd. Stock tranny is still hanging in. I can't imagine doing it in D or OD would be much different stress wise. The car wasn't hitting 4th in the box was it?
