Default P1SC W/stock manifolds?

how much will stock manifolds hurt a p1sc @ 5-7 psi.?

What kind of power will it put down with 10.5:1 comp. AS stg2 ported heads and a 216/220 114 cam WITH OUT headers?

You really should get a set of headers if your running a supercharger. Your putting all that nice compressed air in you want to get those exhaust gasses out.

You could be losing out on 30 rwhp with the parts you already have installed. You might see 420 to 430 rwhp on a Mustang Chassis Dyno. Bob

I have some now, but was thinking of going 100% california smog legal.

Is this because of the heads and compresion or the cam?

Im sure you could still stay smog legal if you had it tuned after you put everything together. If the headers have a carb or e.o # you should still be good to go.

They are talking about LT's, which don't have a CARB#. The stock manifolds will definately hurt you quite a bit no doubt. A guy with a P1-SC told me that his boost pressure dropped 18 psi when he went from stock to longtubes. It sounds like they must have been a pretty big restriction. What about running the BBK shorty 1 3/4 shorty headers and welding a JBA or Edelbrock CARB plate to them? The 1 3/4 shorties would at least be better than your stock manifolds with boost. The 1 3/4's COULD be legal if BBK would have them tested like the JBA's.

The heads, compression and the cam plus the forced induction all play a part into why the manifolds would hurt performance. Think of how the headers pick up power when added with a heads and cam package. Bob

I installed the JBA's on my GTO, lost a little over 1PSI of boost. But torque actually increased slightly. Added a blower cam and regained half of the lost psi due to valve timing. the JBA shorties definately flow better than the OEM manifolds....question you have to ask is the $$ worth the 10-15 HP??? I am happy with mine, and I retain my CARB compliance.
