Tire size
Got a tire size question. I am buying wheels 18 x 9 front and 18 x 10 rear and I was going with a tire size of 275/35R18 front and 295/35R18 rear. My question is this; is the tire size from 275 to 295 a taller tire or wider tire? Does it make sense to pay about $20 more for an extra inch of rim, or should I just get 4 of the 18 x 9? The car is a weekend toy and driven to the track just every so often so rotating tires for getting the most tread life is not an issue for me. What is an issue is if it makes sense to spend the cash for rubber and aluminum and not really see any benefit. Thanks for the help!!

275 and 295 is the tire width in millimeters
35 is the sidewall height percentage in relation to the tire width. so, 35% of 275 is how tall your sidewall would be, 35% of 295 will be a hair taller, not really noticeable. 18 of course is the size of your wheel.
