Default Cruise Control Removal?

Okay i followed the wire around and up front and ran in to a silver box. Is this box used for anything else or just the cruise control? There is a harness running from it the the fan swithches taps into.. Just wanted to be sure before removing it that it was safe..

Yeah, that box, the one near the sway bar mount is just for cruise. It should have a cable going back around to the tb.

(if your car has tcs, I think it does that too - mine didn't have tcs)
