I mean that are not too far from Los Angeles (i.e. I don't want to drive 800 miles to get new 1/4 mile times). I've heard that Las Vegas (Though far away is pretty decent ~ better track prep then Speedway ~). My main objective is to run somewhere near sea level, and to be on a track that is prepped well. Any information would be appreciated.

Super Chevy at Pomona in coming up Mar. 31-April 2. Its 1/4 mile and will be preped very well as there are very fast cars there

Nice count me in for that. Should have gears, cam/heads and stall installed by then.

Pomona (1/4 mile track) is not open to the public, except during Super Chevy Show. So don't count on that. Another track, which is of similar distance to LVMS is the Autoclub Famoso Raceway just north of Bakersfield. It hooks better then Pomona and has better elevation.
