Default hooker exhaust question ?WELDED?

I bought a hooker catback for 2000 SS camaro and i was wondering do i have to weld the pipes together i havent recieved the kit yet does any one know?? i hope i dont have to

I welded mine together too. You don't have to, if you are going to clamp it get the band type clamps, don't use the "U" clamps that come with the CB. You will crush the pipes making it a bitch to slide the pipes apart if you ever have to.

You can clamp the pipes together, but I had mine welded after driving it a few days so it would not shift or leak.

Some people don't feel welding is necessary, but I did it for the peace of mind that it won't come apart or leak.

I didnt weld mine together but when i get my headers and ORY on I will probably get it all welded up

I didn't weld mine for the fact of possibly changing it down the road...just saves some headaches that way. Get some good band clamps if you dont weld it.

Welded mine along with the custom y-pipe. I didn't feel like having to retighten anything if it was to shift. Plus I live kinda out in the country with not so kind roads. And if I ever change exhaust it will be for true duals.
