Default Brakes after 9" install

I posted this in the handling/braking forum as well. I apologize for sucking up extra space, but I'd really like to figure this one out. It's unnerving having my brakes doing goofy **** and I don't know why.

I've had my 9" in for a little over a month now. I'm confused...I know the ABS is long gone. I decided that it would be a good idea to go to an empty country road and get a feel for threshold braking in the car. When I get around the point I suspect tires would be trying to lock I feel a faint pulsing in the pedal. When I did the rear I bled the hell out of the brakes as well as put brand new rotors on it. I know beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are not warped. Besides that it does NOT feel like a warped rotor. It's almost as though the ABS motor is confused and not sure what to do. I have a Truetrac diff in the 9". Could it be the diff working that I'm feeling?

TIA for any help.
