Default Best sound with LTs and no cat

Best sound with LTs and no cat on an LT1 engine.... GMMG or Borla? ..... I've heard a few comments about people saying Gmmg doesn't sound as good when its not on a stock system.... I just want some advice before I go out and buy something...

I've got the GMMG with shorty headers and it sounds great. I'll have LT's on in a week or two and can talk from experience then. The soundclips I've heard with longtubes sounded great to me though! I'm not tough enough to do it with an offroad pipe though. That would just be too loud for me.

I don't think either will sound good with no cats. IMO.

I got a hooker catbakc and I'm very happy with it. No rasp, great tone, quiet at idle, very loud at WOT. Only downside is its a little too quiet. My friends TA is louder at WOT then mine with just a loudmouth cat back. He still has his cats and manifolds. But I didnt want it really loud, just loud enough to get attention when I want it. Remember, there are certain times you don't want attention, expecially from certain people.... cops.

my friend has midlengths with a catless y and gmmg on his lt1, it sounds awesome, really deep, not raspy like ls1's.

haha, yea good for the lt1 guy right. but seriously, checkl out ls1sounds. I know you cant truly get a real idea of the real sound from a mp3, but its helpfull. thats what help me settle on my hooker. It wasnt so much the tone I listened for as the lack of rasp, I hate rasp. Anyway good luck.
