Default new owner of a 2001 a4 silver vert TA

traded my 2005 Grand Prix GXP in for it. ill get move details later and pics just thought id let everyone know. i cant wait to be knee deep in ls1 crap

i like vert ta's...but i had one, a 95 LT1 and dad has the 00 LS1...congrats man, they are rare fun cars.

Default quesiton about RPMS

since im new to TA and ls1s in general. when driving my car is at 68 mph at 2k rpm is that the norm? just curious i want to see where i sit versus everyone else and also how do i see which gearing i have?

Yea, normal. Either 2.73s or 3.23s.

my 98 formula auto did 68 at about 1700. I would wonder if you have steeper gears than stock but not sure.

thats what im wondering. im trying to find the original owner. and see if i can find out. i know my gxp did 70 mph at exactly 2k rpm so im guessing this is atleast more agressive than it. gearing wise.

I have 3.73's with the A4 and do 2500 rpm at 70 mph, fwiw.

Check the sticker on the door, If you have code:

GU2- 2.73's
GU5- 3.23's

I'd put money on it that you have 3.23's, thats what i have and your RPM's sound about right.
