intercooler, because methanol would be something you would do in addition to an STS with a intercooler and still wanting more... intercooler would be much more practical at least....someone else correct me if i am wrong

Well im no Forced Induction expert by any means, but I would guess that almost everyone would say Intercooler. Mainly for the fact of consistancy, and not having to worry about your intercooler "not working" and ruining your motor. Both would be Ideal as long as your not relying on the Meth to keep you within the limit of the motor blowin up in your face. Besides that which ones actually work better as in reducing intake temps, I dont know, but Im sure someone else will chime in.

i would go intercooler, then if you want/need more you can put the meth on top! also an intercooler will never "run out" just as yu nail the throtle!
you might also want to look into water injection! does very little to cool the intake, but stop dept pretty well. it was quoted once as "like running race gas all the time"!
thanks CHris.

With methanol you can run more timing => [usually] more power. A methanol/water mix is a cost-effective addition to many boosted cars. I just don't get the 'running out' issue I keep reading about...then again, I put a 1.8 gal tank in the trunk!!!

True but you can do the same thing with a well setup IC.
Its cost affective till it stops working.. ie pump stops, nozzle clogged and then your $6K motor goes south..... Just ask Mightey Mouse....
He WAS a big fan of Meth and Pump 93 and always said yes it was done that way..... until his kit stopped working and cost him a complete motor....
You do the the math..... is that cost effective???
Do the IC of your choice and run meth on top of it if needed.
