Exaust question and what if...
Here's the situation..
Ive gota lowered car..G2 springs so Im down ~2"
I want to get some Mac Mids and run Cats....
The problem is as everyone knows is ground clearance..
The stock Y is flat which allows me to not scrape on current exhaust system stock Dual Dual from a SS..
Here's the question..Has anyone ever taken an over sized pipe and flattened it to allow for greater air movement thru the system and still allow ample ground clearance..
The whole point of an aftermarket system is to allow for more air to get pushed out of the system..does the shape of the pipe (excluding sharp bends etc )really make the difference...would not a really wide flat pipe ( say a 4" squashed down a bit) allow for the passage of the same volume of gasses as a 3" round..for that matter w/n a 3" round flattened down allow the same volume to flow thru....
