have we figured out why porting MAF works for some and not others?

iv been reading how to do it, and im sure you have all heard how it throws things off on your car, but for some it works great, is there a difference in how they are ported, is there a trick to keep it from hurting performance

btw my only mods are lid and fernco bellows

it only works if you tune for it. porting it really changes the flow characteristics, and you gotta account for it. there's a million posts about it in the pcm forum, read up

oh ok thanks, i was just looking in external engine and didnt find much, ill look in there
