Is it a sensor that can go bad in there?

I was told the code that it is throwing is for the throttle sensor, but i think it might be the MAF since all of it is inside the box for the electronic throttle control. If i was to buy everything it would cost around $800, but if it is just one of the sensors it wont cost nearly as much as that. Anybody have any ideas?

The actual description of the P1514 is:

"Manf Cntrl Veh.Spd. Idle Speed Control Auxilliary Inputs"

Do you have an idle or throttle response problem?

Yea, it has huge problems with idleing and throttle response. IF it starts i cant let the car just idle, it will die. I have to keep my foot on the gas and keep the throttle up, but the throttle response is pretty spuratic when you try to rev it up a little.
