Default 98 z28 automatic gear
I was just wondering if anyone knows what is the best gear to put in a mostly stock 98 z28 rear end with automatic tranny.

3.73s will be the best upgrade to do, but you might want to think about a torque converter also. they really wake up our automatics and make them more fun to drive.

I'd go to 4.10s if you don't mind the drop in mpg.

Not with an auto.

yea go 3.73 and get u a converter as soon as u can,it will wake up an auto car a good bit,goodluck
