General Maintenance & Repairs - Ses Light

Guys ... I need your help. I want to know why my SES light is always on. I've had this light since I added a set of headers, high flow cats, and GMMG exhaust system. Any idea how I can get rid of it? I've had my car checked out and everything appears to be fine except for the light constantly staying on. :confused:

You need to get the code(s) scanned and then post them, along with some more info on your car (year, other mods, etc.).

I am willing to bet that 1 or 2 of the codes is a 135 or a 155...I think that you have a bad connection with an 02 sensor or you have a bad one. Are you running simms? Are these longtube headers?

P0130 (M) 1/1 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Oxygen sensor heater element malfunction.
P0131 (M) 1/1 O2 Sensor Shorted To Ground Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained below normal operating range.
P0132 (M) 1/1 O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above normal operating range.

P0136 (M) 1/2 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction Oxygen sensor heater element malfunction.
P0137 (M) 1/2 O2 Sensor Shorted To Ground Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained below normal operating range.
P0138 (M) 1/2 O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above normal operating range.
P0139 (M) 1/2 O2 Sensor Slow Response Oxygen sensor response slower than minimum required switching frequency.

Who checked the car out?

If it was a shop they should have scanned the PCM and told you what code you were getting to cause the SES light.....
