There are two circumstan ces where I would recommend pulleys, one road racing, it is very hard on the power steering pump underdriving can help keep it cool. The only other way I would consider it would be as part of something like the ATI dampers with the 10% built right in. UD pulleys offer lesser gains on the LT1 than other motors due to our WP not being belt driven, the ATI would be a way of getting it with a real actual honest upgrade. The bolton pullies tend to move the damper out possibly reducing it's effectivness. As an added bonus some of the ATI dampers are light, the rotating weight savings would be worth more than the UD.

Anyone have an idea how much 1.6RR help out on a bolt on LT1 motor? I'm thinking about getting an electric water pump now. How much will this cost me?

1.6 RR's help out a good amount. I think they hadd anywhere between 10-15BHP? An EWP will cost you about..200 and is good for about 5-10 BHP maybe a little more. You don't need the heavy duty water pump.
