Will ZR1 rims rub on a stock 2001 Camaro?
I'm thinking about picking up from ZR1 rims. The rims are 17x9.5" fronts and 17x11" rears. The tires are 275/40 in the front and 315/35 in the rear. The front wheels are +56mm offset and the rears are +50mm offset.
Most people I talk to say they shouldn't rub at all, while a select few say they might rub. Will they rub, or can I bolt them on and go and not worry about hitting the inside fenders?

my car was a former police car and the stock 245s left some marks on the inner fender wells where they rubbed.
have i ever heard any of my tires (ive had stock wheels, SS 275 width wheels and 315 nittos on 17x11 ZR1s) rub against my body? no. is there a time when they would rub? yes, i think that the 245s rubbed against the fender when it was being driven through medians.. the nittos i had didnt rub at all... the only time i had a problem with it was when i drove down a hill at an angle onto a flat surface... it hit against the bump stop and thats all.
bottom line, they are fine. i wouldnt suggest getting 315s unless you have money to drop on those expensive sticky goodyear tires (~300 each), or nittos or the frequent (5000 miles) purchase of BFGoodrich DRs, if you can find them KD BFGoodrichs would be good also, but again expensive....

It depends on the offset you get on the rear. Real ZR1 offset is 38mm which makes the rears stick out 1/2" beyond the fender. Grand Sport offset is 50mm and they fir better, but they might rub on the inside where the rubber bumper is. You might have to dent in part of the inner wheel well.
