Default help me price some parts

At a swap meet.... what would you expect to see for a price? what would you offer?

i'm trying to come up with prices for parts for the swap meet this weekend... i've looked in the f/s & wanted sections & have an idea on some parts, & i've even looked some up on ebay. but i want more input. since i haven't been into f-bodies for years i really don't know what some parts may be worth.

please go through the list below (i know it's incomplete) and give me an idea of what you think i should ask for the parts.

I am not tying to sell them on here. just looking for input & help. if you have questions about them that may change the values please ask & i'll try to answer.

if some parts do not sell at the swap meet then i may later post them on the f/s board here, but for now please don't ask. that is NOT the purpose of this post.

Is the front bumper on the 99 car, the bumper cover or everything behind it? I might be interested if its the cover.

I know this is way off topic...

But did both of you buy F-Bodys, wreck them, and are now swapping the motors into RX-7's? Or am I just being crazy, nothing against you... just a little weird.

Anyway, I would look at how much all the prices go for brand new, and low-ball them quite a bit until you can come up with some reliable numbers when put up against similar parts being sold on Ebay, The Boards, and any other auctions you can find.

I think that would be your best bet for getting rid of everything, and good luck with the swaps if that's what you plan on doing. Hate to see two f-bodys wrecked though .

We bought them both already wrecked- somebody else did the honors, and there were far from salvageable. got fair deals, just had to go through the work of stripping them & now selling off what's not needed. it's a longer route to the same end, hopefully it saves us a little money this way too... it's just more work

Ok good, for a minute there I thought you both wrecked F-Bodys. It's pretty cool that your throwing V8's in RX7's, some people don't look at it like that but I like it when people do stuff like that. Gotta love a V8 in such a small car, espcially when the people doing the swap do it themselves into a car they prefer. Good luck with the swap, post up when your finished. And you should be able to get rid of all the parts, with so many people getting more miles on there cars they are needing parts pretty bad.

the bumper is sky(light) blue. it's going to need some work & a repaint due to a big scuff on the lower right side.

sorry that's the one thing i didn't do. i was in a rush to tear it down, get any good parts out, get the shell to the crusher, & take all i don't belive i need to the swap meet
the engine definitely has center-bolt valve covers, and it was titled as a 99.

we took the stuff to the fairgrounds today. we need to get rid of this stuff, the booth is full, stuff is piled up. i should have got 2 booths... oh well. come get it, i don't want to bring it home.
in transit some stuff got chewed up... the bumpers got scratched up pretty bad, and one radiator now has a broken tank... there's no telling what else got torn up.

Remember you are at a swapmeet people are there trying to talk down prices.

My husband ended up getting a set of Wheels & Tires for his 67 there the guy wanted $120 for the set of 4 but I talked him down to $100 ( would have sweet talked him down more if it sat there longer but husband saw them first thing in the morning)

I talked ot you there for a couple of minutes asking you about the bolts and such.

I know what you mean about the prices. It was irritating sometimes the ridiculous offers and lies people will tell you about prices they've seen and can get. I had $200 on a set of 17x9.5 ZR-1 wheels (rate them an 8 of 10) to fit a early C4. A guy told me he could buy them for $100 a pair elsewhere so that what he'd offer me. I told him he should buy em from the other guy then... lol

It was pretty tough to sell anything newer than 1970 for anything more than $150 or so. They just aren't getting the new stuff around there. Engines don't sell worth crap either. No one brings real money out (>$1000). My largest sale was a $600 one and it was to another vendor... on Sunday.

that was you about the bolts huh? i had no clue
let me know what you need, the buckets of bolts are down at my brother's place... i might have it.

I was real tempted to bring a big plastic tray, spread out all the nuts/bolts/ fasteners/misc & post a a price of a handful for a buck.

they seem to go for cheap stuff... the guy in the booth beside mine probly made $1000 on saturday alone, one of his kids probly made $200 just going around w/ the wagon & a 'for hire' sign. he was selling cheap used tools, some were really nice stuff too, and a few rusty crusty car parts.
