Twin GT3076R Turbos - .63 or .82 A/R?
I am looking to do my own twin turbo for the LS1. I know Phamspeed has a kit that uses the GT3076R. (I have seen other sites that build similar kits based on these turbos also) After doing my own research I decided these would be the best turbos for my application.
My question is which one is the best for a near stock LS1? Would I be better off with the .63 or the .82 A/R? I plan on doing drag racing, so the high end isn't as important as the mid and low range. But I also don't want to be starving for air at 6,000 rpm.
I would be tempted to use a kit, but I want to put the turbos behind the engine. (similar to the APS Engineering Twin Turbo) I am also putting this engine in a 3rd gen camaro. I have yet to see a kit for a 3rd gen camaro running a LS1!
Any ideas?

I bought a pair of gt30R's with .82's from Jose and they work great for our 302 application.Only problem is backpressure was causing some head lifting problems(known Ford problem) once we tried to push more boost.Jose advised us to swap to a T4 flange unit to solve the problem, but right now we are going to just keep the boost down. I am trying to get some GT35r's from him next, which he said he can get T4 housing for. If its possible, i am going that route.

Back pressure with a 302? That doesn't sound good! What boost can you run it at before you have problems?
If I one day decided to stroke my LS1 and go to a 383, do you think a pair of these turbos would have the same problem? I want to leave my future options open...
