Default Help losing power and gas mileage

ok so before i start replacing everything.

I recently installed headers, mid length edelbrock, i checked to make sure any exhaust leaks, i found one header bolt way loose and tightened it so its now sealed to my knowledge *at least i think so*, about 2 days after installing the headers, ive had significant power loss and decreased MPG, not sure what it is here is the current condition of my car:

the AIR and EGR is disconnected

i dropped the o2 and the red part hit the g round when it dropped *not sure if thats a possibility*

car has been sitting for a year or so 1 1/2 months ago *i just got the car*

new spark plugs *not wires*

curious on what it may be...im thinking o2s

the headers are making it so hot its hitting the wires so i may need new thicker, better wires and a relocation kit

header gaskets *appeared good* but could be burnt now?

need feed back!

Your probable running rich. I've read that headers will do this. Get the car dyno tuned.

Check all the plug wires to be sure that they are not burned. If the headers are coated inside, there's a possibility that the caoting is burning off and coating your O2 sensors.

Once you check and make sure it's not loose/burned plug wires or crapped up plugs, get a tune, that's where your lost power is going to be.

Yep, a tune is pretty much a MUST DO... after you do headers. I would look at a sponser such as PCM For Less or Mad Z28, unless you have the money and want a Dyno Tune.
