A4 fluid change - I might have broken something....
I dropped the pan, emptied the fluid and took out the filter. I was attempting to take out the filter neck/gasket to replace the new one, but I saw something fall. It was about a 1cm x 1cm piece of very thin metal. I looked up and saw another piece, about the same size, hanging next to the filter neck opening. It was partially attached, so I pulled it off. The problem is I don't know if I broke something important, or if it was just an insignificant piece of thin metal.

Sorry, I didn't take pics of them.
However, if you notice the opening in the pic where the pieces came from, they are much smaller than the opening. Together, the 2 pieces would not be enough to close the opening. It seems like they were just attached to the housing, but not enclosing anything.
