Ok, my 95 LT1 has a lot of miles and I FINALY have enough money to overhaul the engine and a little more. And I was thinking about a 383, but what do I need to make it into a 383??

Agree. Going to a 383 is a waste. Send your time and money on better rods, lighter pistons, heads, intake, exhaust and cam. I ran a 355 for years with great results. 425rwhp with a 4000 stall automatic
