for those of us who are unlucky enough to have snow in the forecast for winter and have our cars stored away...post up what you winter vehicle is
my winter vehicle is a 1989 oldsmobile eighty eight with 195,000 miles on it and still running strong what is everyone else's winter vehicle?

1984 Bonco II, real beat. But the 4wd works and she runs well (most of the time). 177,000 miles.

I've got a 1997 Nissan Altima, I know, she's rice, but for having 175,000 miles on her she runs pretty well, and hey, it keeps miles of the T/A!

cmon guys what's the deal with all the nice winter beaters? they are supposed to be more....antiquated i thought. something more along the lines of a '88 chevy 1500 pickup, which is what i drive haha. i tried to take my brother's '89 notch out in the snow once, but wouldn't you know it, it doesn't take to the snow that well. :)

Yeah...too many nice new "winter" vehicles. Got a 98 GMC Sonoma 2wd 4 banger 5 speed with 108K on it. It's dropped 4" front and 2" rear. Snows and 200lbs of weight and it handles any snow I've had to deal with.

89 mazda mx6- 2.2l 5 speed. beaten to all hell, 170k miles, but running very strong still. clutch is on it's way out from flat shifting it :jest: but has been on it's way out for some time now so maybe it'll still last.
i paid 200$ for this car, and have put no more than 300$ into it (doing the work myself and using junkyard parts) and i've owned/beaten the shit out of it for 2 YEARS NOW! it just runs so good i won't get another d/d till it dies.

Had a 93 Geo Metro with 186,000 miles on it and plenty of things broken and/or not working. Exhaust pipes rotted out 2 weeks before trading it in for an 05 Toyota Prius, and on the way to the dealer to sign, part of the muffler fell off. Got my use out of it, a true beater until the end.

03 silverado, now in "bling form" (air dam back on, brush guard off, "MB Blitz" wheels and "street" tires. Mud terrains, especially wide ones, suck in snow).
Soon to have 305x70/17s on it.

1996 Grand Am SE.... That's right I said SE. That V6 raises the insurance rate (a little but still) and raises eyebrows as I punch that 160 HP of throttle.
Man it's a rush... throws me back. Actually I will say I feel more torque out of it than a 4 cylinder, not sure why I pay attention to these kind of things but I do.
The car is actually my full time driver. My Chevelle is race only and my Camaro doesn't need to be in damned parking lots. If/when I buy a 98-up Fbody I'll probably keep the car so I can mod on the fbody and not have to worry about it not being together for work/school/picking up women/etc.

1994 Corsica with 174xxx miles on it. Bought for 400, got paid 1200 on insurance claim(other persons fault) and have just done a couple hundred in maintenance over the past four years. I drive it in the winter and back and forth to school, which is a 90 mile round trip.
