Default "IF" M/T made a 315/35/17 ET Radial....

Would you buy them?
They apparently don't have the intention of making them. I am just curious to see how many people would be interested and maybe we could inspire them.

I heard a rumor a couple weeks ago that they were supposed to be releasing a 315 tire in the next few months? Did that fall through? I'd be torn between those or BFGs...I hear they wear down real fast street driving.

I'd buy a set as soon as they come out. I spoke to MT a few weeks ago and was told they was doing the 315 and it should be out by april/may. Hope that holds true, as those are some hooking tires!

How do you know they aren't going to make them? I called them in December about this and they told me they do intend to release them and are hoping to have them sometime in April '06. If you guys want to email them and/or call them also, I'm sure it can only help so that they will bring these to market as soon as possible. I'll be purchasing a set for my Fikse's.

I asked a rep at the Street Machine Nats in Springfield, MO this past Sept. He said they had no plans to do so at that time. Also a few other people said they asked MT and they said the same. Hopefully they changed their minds and I will have the option soon.

I would buy one of the new 16" rim size tires they are releasing. According to a rep at the SEMA show, they will be releasing 2 new sizes for the 16" rim and I think 2 or 3 new sizes for the 17" and I believe a size for the 18". I'd hold out for them, the mickey is an awesome tire.

Do you know what size 18" they are releasing? I have some nittos but I would love to have some M/T's on my car.

I'd have to ask my friend. I know it's close to the Nitto because that's what he runs now because Mickey didn't have the size he needed. He's waiting on the new Mickey sizes to come out. There are two sizes, one is reasonable, and the other is something huge. He said it was huge, and it wouldn't fit on his car which is a C5.

i'd be upset if they did... i just bought the 275/40/17's... when my previous street tires were 315 nittos the last 3 times i needed street tires! i just gotta see what all the hype is about with these things!! cant wait till it starts to get nice out here in chi town!!! but if they did make em... i'd burn these up fast.. and get the for sure. i love the way a 315 looks on the rear of our cars!

had some pics on photobucket...will see if they are still up....

I haven't really tried them out, not at a track and its been real cold here so I can't give an honest opinion. They hook pretty well at 35+ from a kick (off the bottle). Seem to be a bit better than the BFG DR's I had on. Should be the best for 17 in rims available,

Radail...you mean radial? MT makes a ET Street Radial...a drag radial like the bfg, but softer and better hooking, in 15, 16, and 17 in. sizes.

I would get some too. I got Nittos cause I didn't think the 275's would fit on 11's but they do.

the MT ET Street Radials are a physically larger tire in 275 series than the same 275 BFG or Nitto, so they fit on wider rims better than the BFG or Nittos. They are 1/2 to 1 inch wider than Nitto 275-40-17 that I have on my 04 GTO.

If MT comes out with the 315, I will definately get some.
