What are the differences betwean a 4l60E for a 3.8 car and an LS1 car?

Same tranny just built stronger.....or so I was told.....im not afraid to give my Z hell..unlike i was with my old 3.8

Default Not The Same

Bell housing,seperator plate, pump stator,2nd servo,tc,accumulaor set ups and 1-2 accumulator valve. Just a couple of things!

would a 3.9 tranny bolt up and run properly on a ls1 car though??

isnt the ls1 4l60e a "heavybduty" unit? i was once told that the 98-02 v-6 tranny was the same as the 97 and earlier v-8 units.

Does the 3.8 have the same bell as the LS1? Don't think so!
