I've seen them on other sites after people installed them - you don't really notice at first, just seems to look cleaner or more seamless. Then you notice the details which is how it should be. There are some places that sell them for less, same thing with more feedback than the one listed them here. Just search a few other places first.

Try photoshop out the back in black before you do it. Some 'black' cars look a wierd blue with black outs on the back. Guess it depends on the paint care? Most look really good and not rice. I'd like to black out the entire back of the T/A so you pretty much just see the logo unless I'm standing on the brakes.

You could try the Whistler mod to get a similar look. I want to say that it fixes the not-so-good looking lenses while adding some bling to that whole area. Would look really nice in a black SS....and be cheaper by far. Just an idea and may not really be what you are looking for. There are directions on LS1Camaro.net.

I had the black taillight covers on my V6 car..it looked really Great, but got hot and dented in my taillights...both sides..I don't recommend covers unless you plan on leaving them on all the time...

Hot from the sun? or from the lights being on? wow, that would suck to have to replace them.
