dude, do not put loctite on your header bolts. use anit-sease. your trying to do the exact opposite of what you need.

Never used locktite or antisease. Headers have been of the car once, never had to retighten them once after a few heat cycles.

Anti-sease is the only thing to use.

I'm guessing from reading this that you've never used red loctite before? It takes an act of congress to remove it. Is this somthing you really want stuck in your aluminum heads?

It's a helluva lot easier to retighten some bolts than to pull the heads and re-drill and tap them.

personally id get some stronger ARP bolts loose the cheap card board box header gaskets that come with your headers and get some leak proof cooper/aluminum/ceramic ones and just get yourself some header locks from summit.

I've never had a problem removing header bolt with red loctite on them they come out easy. I've done it many times each time is just as easy as the last. This in no 10in bolt its just small bolt just use it sparingly, you don't need to cover the entire bolt just put a dab or two on the bolt to keep it from loosening.

Anti seize and factory bolts here. Have done three installs and have had zero issues using this method.

red locktite...so you can never get them out in one piece again...Either that, or just weld the headers on and toss the bolts...

Well i've heard alot more stories of them working perfect when cleaned up and installed properly, with some anti-sease.

If anything strips its going to be the aluminum, and wouldnt matter which damn bolts are doing the stripping!
