Default Kooks or QTP headers????

I was looking at redoing my exhaust and i was wondering which headers were prefered most and i was also wondering whether you guys would recommend just getting an off road y pipe or a custom x pipe. If any of you had any recommendations for places to order a custom x pipe. Any help would be great Thanks

both are great headers
qtp is selling their 1 3/4 with the high velocity merge collectors at a very nice price.
If only they would make the 1 7/8 with them right now

Places like speedinc.com have them for like $724.99 shipped

QTP! More header and its lest expensive. For the same style header from Kooks would be $1400 or so. Its a no brainer!

try $818 from the mentioned speedinc.com, but i'd still say QTP, just a personal preference though.

i went with kooks just because i heard of some ppl having fitment and clearance issues with QTP. i got the 1 3/4 in and they fit perfect but i know a guy that got the stepped ones from kooks and had some clearance issues. but no complaints from me

I would go with the off-road y. I've heard that you lose some torque with an x-pipe, so unless you are just going for the sound, i think y-pipe is the best bet. cheaper too.

ok, this is a little know truth, but off the record, QTP and Kooks headers are made by the same company, belive it or not. if you did deep enough, you will find out.

I've got kooks with ory and couldn't be happier. I agree with ZL1Killa, prob gained about an inch of clearance over stock...they tuck hard! Anyways, I've heard great things about both, so it almost seems to be personal preference.
