Default E-Brake light wont go off

The light wont switch off when the brake is definitely released. Ive heard that its telling me it is low on brake fluid? Can anyone confirm this?

There are several possibilities and you named one. It means you need to check out your system and find the problem.

yup low brake fluid is most likely the cause. the resivore is on the drivers side by the windshield. should be very easy to find and check. you don't even have to open the resivore to check as it is white, and you can see the fluid level. Good place to start. Good luck.

Ok, dont make fun of me. I know where the resivore is but do I just add pure brake fluid to it directly?

Oh no, I wasnt saying you were at all, I just didnt want you to make fun of me because I wasnt sure how to/how much to add.

Im not exactly sure how low it is, but it definitely needs some more. I looked at it and it appears that I fill it up the bottom of the cap? Is that correct?
