Default Headers/X-pipe

I found a set of headers I was thinking about getting but here's the thing. I don't want a y-pipe because I want to do true duals.

Here are the headers:

Does anybody know where I could find 3 inch x-pipe that would work with these headers? What I really want is straight pipes so would an x-pipe be best or should I just runs pipes off the headers?

Check out sponsor Texas Speed & Performance--------------->
They have a 3" true dual kit that should bolt up to those headers.

Texas Speed's kit will adjust to fit those headers. Another way that would be cheaper and IMO more cost effective is Jegs or Summit's universal X pipe kit. With bullets or spiral flow mufflers the kit is ~$200. Take it to a muffler shop and have them tweak it (mainly on the driver's side) and weld it together as 1 piece. My friend has Pacesetter LT's and did this with his LT1 T/A, and the shop charged him $150. You'll also want to use band clamps to attach the system to the headers. It will never leak, and if you ever have to take it off, it'll be a snap.

If Lane wasn't building true dual kits for our cars (I'm not sure if he is anymore), I would have gone this route.

Dr Gas has an X pipe that works with our cars. All you need to do is build the piping before the X, and after it. You should be able to take that X and the headers to a muffler shop and have them build you a system.

don't waste 500 on hooker headers. Pay an extra 200 and get QTP's. Then get a dr. gas x pipe

Your shop time will be extra $$$ if they have to run over the axle. That bend is gnarly...and you may want to get the panhard relocation bar to give some extra room.
Also, dual 3" piping over the axle will be hard to do without rubbing on something.

A few years ago some guy had the flat side exits before the rear wheels...but you are right, it is pretty uncommon (and loud)

Pretty much every ls1 longtube header collector is 3", including the pacesetters you asked about.
