Is it a part you can change yourself with hands tools or what. I didnt pay attention when mine was going in. Also did it need to be machined flat or what? Have to repace my hydraulics soon, and im thinking about doing the clutch while im at it.

I haven't replaced my friction surface - I just had my Fidanza LS2 flywheel installed yesterday. I don't know the specifics on the replacement, sorry, I just looked up the part number.

For replacement issues, it is a direct bolt in process. Insert should come with new all new hardware.
FWIW I you might want to have it rebalanced, I was told it did not need it though, which I did not do and have had no problems.

I just got off the phone with Fidanza not even 30 seconds ago and they told me $90. It included the fasteners and everything can be done with hand tools. You dont have to do any machining, and the bolts are to be tightened to 70in/lbs. Id imagine you can get it cheaper if you were to go through one of the site sponsors.

the flywheel it self dosent need to be rebalanced, but the flywheel and clutch as a whole needs to be.
