Gas mileage?
well out of my new engine untuned. I got about 190 miles out of a full tank.
I have a 355 236/242 cam with a 3200 stall.
Now i know its running rich, but after a tune how many extra miles can i get out of it?
im sad that i can only get 190 miles driving like a grandma. And i havent even WOT it yet. Not until 500+ miles.
and also when i usually fill the tank up, it smells like gas bad, specially when driving too

A tune can help a ton. Are you running closed loop?
A cam with a large overlap can make the engine run rich even in closed loop.
You may want to consider a speed density open loop tune and lean up idle and part throttle.
Id get a baseline tune now, then tweak it up once the engine is run in, you are probably not doing it any favours running out of tune.

Thats what I was thinking, our cars don't have 18 gallon tanks.
With normal mixed driving (highway/city) I would say with a good tune, you should get about 12 to 19 MPG. I no that isn't very presise, but gas milage can vary alot between one car and another (with similar mods).
Next time you fill up, make sure you top it off. Drive about 150 miles or so, then fill up again. Top it off again. Then devide the miles you drove by the amount of gas you just put in. That will give you a MPG. Then post it on here.

Yeah adjusting the tables for open loop will definitely help the idle out a lot. I don't know that I would go open loop/SD only, but definitely altering those tables will help a lot. Your gas mileage isn't gonna be great now, so I wouldn't get too hopeful for great MPG with an A4.
