i'm thinking about doing this myself but i was wondering how much it would cost to get done.

Its pretty easy, if you have a dremel. I did it with a air grinder and a carbide bit. It took about an hour (it was my first time too). But as long as you take your time and don't go to fast, and keep checking the smoothness its not hard.
