Default 275 vs. 315 555R's?

Hey guys, was looking into getting some new rims and putting 315 555R's on the rear but was just wondering really how much more traction I'm gonna get with a 315 nitto over a 275 nitto?

I have the 315 555r on mine and I love them. I've never had the 275's, but the 315's arent much more expensive, and look 200% better on the back of these cars than the 275's. And to top it off, you can put the nitto 555 on the front(275's with a 300 treadwear rather than 100 for the rears) which have a very similar tread pattern as the 555r.

I'm currently running stock WS6 rims but am looking into going 17X8 front and 17X10 rear. If I go with the 8's and 10's I'm gonna run 245 front and 315 rear.

Will 315s fit on 10 inch wheels? I thought that was best for 295s?

Either way that would look sick. I have 315s in the bed of the truck waiting for our new Adj. PHR and the BFH hammer mod, to go on... I can't wait...

Usually 315s are just an appearance mod, since the most important part of traction is in the rubber compound and not necessarily in the contact patch.

I've heard that the Nitto's run a bit small and that they should fit on a 10" rim but that most other 315's would have a problem fitting correctly. They do look nice but if it's not gonna help that much then that might determine which rims I get.
