I would say if you looking at some AFR's go a different route. They are not bad heads but Right now there different options that you can do for much less money and get more power.
For instance lets take Loyd Elliot. Get his LE# package with the biggest cam you want and make more power then you would with some AFR's. Just some advice.

I've seen guys go way big on a cam and start losing to guys with smaller cams that have power in the right places and can get it to the street. Bigger is not always better.

Please give me some examples, because I am afraid that your big cam guys can not drive. The entire purpose is for a big cam car to have power from 4000 to 7000. Last I knew when I was racing i never dropped below 6,000 when I am racing.
Another thing that you will need to add is the suspension. I could see a small cam guy beat a big cam guy off the line with out proper tires or other suspension. But I am reaching here. Because I had no problems with my big cam and no suspension.
Let me also say that when I went to the track untunned making 378 and 350 With a trex cam I launched at 6000 car bogged (So bad car almost died) when I let out the clutch pulled a 2.0 and lifted the front wheels and still ran a 12.1. I would like to see a small cam even come anywhere close to that. A good Launch and a tune that car would have ran 11.5 easy. Probably would have done that with a better launch.
I snapped my 9" rear in half that same day when I launched at 6500. Just a side note
