Sorry to say, but those numbers sound really unbelievable. Are you sure You dont have an LT4 under the hood. So what is the new best bolt on? Did I miss something? Those numbers are more believable if Your car was an LS1. Whats really going on under that hood?

Congrats on the numbers. I too pulled a 13.12 with my m6 formula. Nothing but bolt ons here. I know my car has high 12's in it, I just need to find the right 60' and shifting to make my perfect pass before I pull the motor. My downfall at the time was my 60' was a horrible 2.01. I've since upgraded to a 9" rear and my numbers will likely fall due to the extra weight.

Yep those do indeed sound like flywheel numbers for those mods.

No, the car is definately ABOVE where it should be. Most STOCK LT1 put down, what ive seen, anywhere from 230rwhp to the highest stock SS ive seen do around 270 rwhp.

Why is this so unbelievable when the bolt-on record is 11.89? Why all the hating on the LT1? No one called BS when Shon posted his 11 sec bolt-on times. This guy posted a 13.1 with exhaust and supension work and put down over 300 to the ground and that's not believable? I agree that 300 to the ground with just exhaust is freakish, but possible. Since when does it take a cam and exhaust to make an LT1 run 12s? If you can't get an LT1 in the 12s with bolt-ons, you need a rebuild or a new mechanic. Just my $0.02

Exactly. I was once told by an LS1 owner that I would never hit 12's without putting some cam in it or getting head work. Needless to say, I'm almost there with an A4, and some weight reduction with basic bolt ons. No gears, or torque converter yet. And I run low 13's.

*sigh*

The LT1 hating starts again.

I went 12.88 @ 108.5 with a 1.7 60', with MAC headers, 3.73s, a 3600 stall converter, a cutout, ram air hood/airbox, and your basic free mods.

My 96 ss m6 put down 276rwhp stock. And ran 13.3's at 106mph! My friend Alex has a 96 Ws.6 with 285 wheel with just slp loudmouth! And the cars runs 13.3's all the time with Nitto nt555r's and no sway bar. A good running LT1 m6 with the right miles will do low to mid 13's.

If Mach 1's run low 13's why can't a 96-97 SS or WS.6 run low 13's they put down about the same power and Lt1's put down more tq.

You just compared apples and oranges there. Are you serious. A mustang is a total different set up. Just because the power is the same that makes it run the same.

It is all about the driver.

I had a 98 ls1 with a 6 speed, and true duals that ran 12.8 on kumhos. and a 2.01 launch.

I have not been able to run my 95 yet but it is no where close to stock

The new bolt on best was obviously a personal.. i never ran the car stock so i dont have times, but i think we all know it was a mid low 13 car.. the LT1 is very capable of running these times when there not dogged and ragged out i think every LT1 should be almost right there with the LS1!

I can not find the BS flag but I am not sure what planet you live on. What is almost right there about 2 cars behind. To me half a car would be right there.

So you are saying LT1's are mid to low 13's stock? Can I have some of whatever it is you are on? I ran my car at the track stock with around 45k on it and ran 14.1 @ 100.6 mph. Yes I could be in the 13's stock with a better launch (mine blew ***), but come on man. The majority of LT1's will not be mid 13 sec cars stock.

They did back in the day, now most have like 100K+ miles on them. WE got my friends 94 Z to run 13.58@101 with just a borla and cold air. Street tires, full weight, stock every thing else. My 93 back in 00 ran a 9.1@78 on a 2.2 sixty, prety much a stock car. Lot of Lt1s I see now are turds and in need of some maintenance more than mods.
