Gears & Axles - 9 bolt

I saw a 9 bolt rear from Borg Warner,is that strong like 9" Ford or just crap?

They were the first rear disc axle produced for the 3rd. gen. automobiles. They have a 7.75" ring gear and the only advantage over the 10 bolt was that they had bolt in axles instead of c-clips.

what scott says.they are still weak.
