'02 Z06...small cam, LTs, x-pipe, Halltech, tune...
My car got done being worked on and tuned today.
Had to upgrade to 38lb fuel injex because the stockers were at 98% duty cycle....new ones are at 68% at 6700rpm
I must say...the cam is very tame. I expected that the longtubes + no cats would be loud (even with stock catback), but it really isn't. It is moderately loud when at WOT but other than that its very liveable. Driveability is excellent...no surging, bucking, etc. Brian did a great job of both dialing in the tune and picking the right cam for my needs....it has gobs of midrange torque and pulls strong to 6700rpm. Casey did the actual install and did a nice thorough job. Bart gave me a very fair price.
Mods are: custom HiTech Motorsport cam (mild...mid/upper 220s duration), Stainlessworks longtubes and offroad X-pipe, underdrive pulley, Halltech Stinger intake, dynotune by HiTech.
Peak numbers:
414hp @ 6300rpm, 396tq @ 4500-4700rpm, SAE corrected.
Attached is the final pull graph, a comparison of modded vs stock, and also an overlay of my modded car vs my '01 Procharged GT.
KrisR is a happy boy.

I don't think Brian wants me to go into detail on the custom cam, but I will say its between the 224/224 and 228/228 cams you listed. Lift is between .575 and .590. If you call him at the shop he may give you the specs.
Thanks for the compliments people! I am very pleased with it.

Great numbes. Those numbers are right in line with mine. But your tq is better. I did 409/387 on my best pass with a comp 224/228 on a 114 with catted headers, no UD pulley, and no air bridge. I have a 02 Z06 as well. Congrats.

THE LS6 HEADS FLOW EVEN MORE ON THE EXHAUST SIDE. I HAVE THEM ON MY 05 LS2. I know the cam hitech suggested for my ls2 so i'm pretty sure it is pretty close to the same one as a ls6 would use. I'm not trying to start anything but I have hadcams from Hitech befor. And I know all Brian will use in ls1,ls2,ls6's are all reverse split. Because the heads flow way too much on the exhaust side. The only reason i went to a tsp cam is they are more nitrous freindly.
In fact the factory knows that also thats why the ls6 cam is a reverse split stock. My ls2 has the ls6 cam in it stock also for that reason.

Whether it's a reverse split or not, the cam definetly matted up nicely with the rest of the setup. Still very interested in the specs. Do you have Brian's #? Could you PM it to me?

Brian favors the exhaust more on the cam for the LS6 than on the LS1 cams, which typically they use 4-6 more degrees of duration at .050 on the intake side (for cars with headers and good exhaust anyway). My cam has the same intake and exhaust duration at .050, but it still favors the intake with regard to lift, so I guess technically mine is still a reverse-split lift-wise. I'd love to give all the specs but I don't want to 'spill the beans' for HiTech. Hope you guys understand.
