Changing knock sensors during intake swap
I'm doing a intake swap and was wondering if it's a good idea to change knock sensors while in there or are these things good for many miles. I have a 98 with about 75,XXX miles on.

From what I know, they do not degrade like an O2 sensor does. If I were you, I'd probably just replace them because I was already digging aroung under the intake and they are bound to go out sooner than later if your luck is like mine....but that's just me.

Since you have a 98 you should upgrade to the 99-02 style knock censors. The 98's are known to have crap censors. When you upgrade to the newer style you need to get the harness as well.I dont remember the cost but its not that exspenive.I had mine desensitised (sp?) thru tuning. But,if it wasnt for tuning I would upgrade as well.
