Default can't get bolt off

I'm working on a clutch install and I can't for the life of me get a socket onto the very top passenger side bolt that connects the tranny to the bellhousing. Anybody have some suggestions? There must be something that I'm overlooking that's making this impossible for me.

Go to a parts store and get a 13mm or 1/2"(same size) socket with a universal built on it. Thats what I did and works like a champ. Parts store sell them very cheap. Low quality but will work.

edit: just noticed you said passenger side and trans bolt not bellhousing bolt. I use 28" of extensions and lower the rear of the tranny to access it

I used a long ext. and a hand ratchet and used the shifter hole. It took two people, one to put the socket on and one to hold and work the ratchet from inside the car.

Take out the crossmember and lower the rear of the tranny....It will lower the motor enough for you to get to the bolt.

Thanks for the info guys. It was a bit of a struggle, but I finally got it off using a few of the above techniques combined.
