Default New Best for the Ol' Vette.......

Well I went to PR today with the intent of working on my 60' times since they haven't been below 2.0's with DR's.

Well Robert was out there helping me out a bit. More or less, "coaching me". Well with his help, I managed to slip the clutch to a 1.796 60' time which netted me my first 11 second time slip. Time in sig!!

Well I, ran a couple 1.9 60' times which gave me 12.0's but no 11 second ET! And a 1.8, but hit the rev limiter! But the 1.7 60' I hit with me shifting at 6000rpms to ensure I didn't hit the limiter again finally worked and I hit the elusive snake eys!

It's a good day...........

Now lets see if Ray (tru-ice) can hit 11's...........

Eitherway, I hit them first Ray............ Now lets see who hits 10's first

Thanks bro........ I'm so glad I hit the 11's and I don't think I would have done it if you all weren't there helping me with my 60' times.

Now when i get home from deployment I need to work on getting 1.6's

Well post that bad boy so we all can see the elusive fast run. Congrats, a well deserved 11.xx, and there is more on the table for sure. you'll get your goal of 11.50 with a good launch/tire. see ya at the track when you get back. Rey said he was going to put a 200 shot on now?

thanks guys...........I should be able to run better times with some more practice. I'm still need to learn this car before anymore mods. But they are coming.

I will be putting a cage in before too long. Got to stay legal, and with 150shot, 10's will be close........

So did ray hit the 11's? I'm betting not if he wants nitrous now..........

Here is the timeslip of my 11.8 against Rotluver............ He pulled out of the hole hard and I had to play catch up due to my shitty reaction time. But like I said before, today was to work on my 60' times!!!

I still have plenty of room for improvement in that category anyway.

Yeah man, good job, Im finally on my way home as I am sure you are on your way out. The stage is trying to feed us some BS line on the line home like they always do, but I should be home ON MY SRT! Have alot of stuff to take care of, but ill keep ya posted on everything, I shouldnt be out till after March something, because I have my checkride, and those arent ever 3 week missions, more like the 1 weekers to Guam, but I'll let ya know. Hopefully I get to do some races this year, up to tranzor...

Congrats. I was there too (on my bike), but didn't get a chance to come talk to you guys. They did a good job prepping the first 60'. I didn't have any traction trouble until down track in the morning. But considering the weather temp I thought the track was excellent.

Get that loan paperwork squared away first and talk to him. That way if he doesn't sell his car you'll still have the money right there when a deal to good to pass up comes along.

Jon, next time try raising your shift rpm a tad at a time. The reason being, I think you have more ET with all other parameters the same. Here is one of my runs from yesterday, 1.79, 11.67@120. The 1/8 is 7.5 and 95mph, so I think you can gain a couple more mph this way. You certainly have the top end at this shift rpm, but there is more. Once again, nice run, and nice driving.

I definately will! I figure If I keep the perameters the same (like you said) and raise the launch RPM in incrememnts of 200, that should help me find the best launch RPM. Then I can do the same thing with the shift RPM.........

I have my rev limiter set at 6800, so I have a little room to work with......

Wait a minute, you can't post videos where the Z06 gets beat. I remeber that race, iwas wondering where the heck the top end on that car came from. what was the times on that run? I want a rematch. Fun day though.

Jon what was that black car with the twin turbos, an Audi? I raced him a couple times later in day, he got me once and I got him once, but remember, I was only running one stage jetted down, to not upset the officals. I will be back with some lap belts and some more n2o, then we'll see how the imports fair.

I remember.... And yeah it was an Audi S4 with aftermarket twins, plumbing, exhaust, etc. Very nicely done I might add! That was a clean Audi. I was wondering why you didn't spray more.........but I guess there's no reason to get kicked out before your 5 point harness gets here. Then you can spray all three stages.....and get your first 10 second timeslip.

Do you have the fire jacket yet? How much are they? I'm gonna need one here before long.......
