Drag Racing Results - My 6spd car, 1.54 60' on MT drag radials! new best ET to!

Holly Sh!t the track was hooking today! But, thats how they always do it at brandton motorsports park on runday sundays.

Run went like this:

To me, seems like i should of had a better ET with that kinda 60' maybe i was shifting to slow or something :confused: Anyways, I was up against a good friend of mine in his z06 that has run mid 10's so i knew i would have to launch the piss outta the car to have any chance at beating him, well i did and also cut a better light, the bieotch dead hooked and damn did that shit feel good!

My only suspension mods are:

!front sway bar
lower control arms
relocation brackets

Race weight ~3500 (i need to get on a scale again to confirm)

3.73 gears

275 50 15 (26") MT drag radials.

I haven't dyno'd my car since last june, but back then with the 10 bolt it put down 535 rwhp and 610 rwtq probably puts down less now with the 12 bolt.

anything else just ask, no secrets on this car.

Sweetness, glad to see Bradenton still has one of the best hooking tracks in the south. If I head that way in April I'll be looking for a new spray PB :D

proof you can hook a 6 speed car on radials. besides, this was chris' first real shot with teh radials at a real track. i bet he goes quicker.

I launch at about 4000-4300 and slip the clutch even though its not very easy to slip a ram hd. every time i tried to launch at like 5500 or 6000 it would pull up big but when it came down it would just bog all to hell and ruin the pass. it took me about 20-25 passes to learn how to launch this combo.

i have the nitrous set up on a wot switch and an rmp window switch, so i would guess it sprays about 20-30' out ( i really don't know though).


Car did even better the next week out (last wk end) I am pulling consistant 1.5 60's and we got a little bit better weather and i ran a slight new best of

1.57 60'
4.53 330
6.98 @ 101.37 1/8th
9.07 1000'
10.81 @ 129.49

and then my 2nd best pass of the day ( i think i was running a bit low on nitrous on this pass)

Thanks for all the compliments! I appreciate them a lot cause I work so hard at doing well at the track.

My first Ram HD lasted about 400 street miles and then 4 passes at the track then it was done, was slipping like crazy even under normal driving. this one, I've had much better luck with, ive made probably 25+ passes on it so far and its still holding like a champ, IMO, there is no best clutch, its hit or miss ith all of them!

udlose99ta, have no idea what size jets, I just took 2 that came with the kit and while i was getting dyno tuned after the cam, i decided that i was willing to make 530-540 rwhp on this motor, so i just kept drilling them out until I gained 130 rwhp from the nitrous. I have only ran my car a few times on motor, it ran 11.9 @ 115-116 it was in much warmer weather though. I highly believe that if i had a stickley N/A tune on the car, i could muster a 11.6-7 @ 117-118 but i don't give a damn about that, I always like to run on the nitrous! :drive:

thats great... i have the same nitrous kit with 3.73 and the mods in my sig... i have the jets to run 135rwhp shot so i was wondering where i will be on the juice, cuz i havent even filled the bottle yet!!! i run 11.8@ 118mph to 120mph N/A with the stock 10 bolt. guess with a 12 bolt and the spray i can count on 10's!!! Ur car gives me hope, i was gonna swap to a auto.

You earned it chief. I hope my spec3 holds up to some decent times this season w/ the new cam.
